Robot asks "Is this Alixandrin Code?" Pressed 2 for NO
Robot eventually asks "Is this a wrong number?" Pressed 3 for Yes
Robot says to stay on the line for a representative to update.....
I hung up.
Debt collectors are one of the groups that are exempt from the telemarketing Do Not Call law. They have their own set of rules they are supposed to follow but many (most?) do not. One problem with that message is there is no way to tell the robot "wrong number". It assumes a 2 means Jane is simply not there and will call back with the same message until Jane answers.
