Got a phone call from this number and all of the above is what I was told.. I called the operator and gave the number she told me it had been reported many times as a fraud... The number is flagged.. Today I called and it didn't even ring...
I've recieved two phone calls from this number today. Caller ID displays Unknown Name. Didn't answer and as I have my answering machine off they couldn't leave a message. But an Internet search on this number comes up empty so I can only assume it's a spammer. Any legit business would be listed. It's a Boston number and I don't know anyone there.
Left v.m. message that caller was from U.S Treasury and to call back asap to get their help regarding the federal offense I had committed.! I dialed *67 then the number, got the same voice as my vm message and asked to speak to 'Mohammed'. He said he was Mohammed, so I went into a vulgar non stop tirade insulting him, his goats, camels, family, religion, etc. while he was trying to overtalk me with his own insults until he hung up on me. A great stress reliever! I've called back a dozen times after that, but either doesn't ring or a quick busy tone.
Beware, the name of the caller changes, the phone number changes, but the message is the same.
