My daughter received call at 12:11 PM asked for someone who spoke clearer English as she couldn't understand them or who they wanted. He wouldn't comply, so she gave the phone to my wife. Being pretty Savoy to PC security (since I have been in PC security over 40 years and we owned a network installation/repair company in Florida for several years) she immediately put the phone on speaker and started walking downstairs to me. Several keys told me immediately this young man was reading from a script, and when she asked questions he kept going back to the script and wanting her to get on her computer right away because there were "many, many problems being reported from our computer and there were problems that needed to be fixed right away because our computer was going to break very soon". I took over the call. He immediately started reading his script again and I advised him that the noise level from all the people using speaker phones and his unclear English was making it difficult to understand him, I asked who he worked for and he said uverse, then he said Microsoft and then a third one I couldn't make out. He immediately started with the script and I stopped him. I told him /Microsoft doesn't call individuals warning of security threats and asked him for the threat number. He went back to the script. I told him to stop and that he was full of [***] he doesn't work for Microsoft and again who he worked for. No answer, but he was begging for me to get on the computer and to give him my phone number. I told him you called me and don't know my number. He was getting frustrated and hung up. This is a classic Scammer. Don't give access to your computer even if you do the typing, unless you know who you are talking to.
I answered this time, robo call from Acme Protection. Said his name was Greg but it sounded like a fake voice. I couldnt get it to stop long enough to say stop calling me.
