Who called from 8575550168

The caller said that they identified a problem with my windows computer. I hung up. Have received this call on several occasions.

Just got a call from this number -- didn't pick up, no message left.  Probably a scam, as above.  Receiving a lot of calls lately from similar numbers.  DON'T PICK UP... it only encourages them to target your number, if a "live person" answers.  Thanks, 800notes!!

When told that I was being called from the technical department of Microsoft, I told him that his phone number was bogus and that he didn't work for Microsoft and that he had no idea what was going on in my computer...! He hung up...!

Did not answer, left message stating IRS and we are about to be arrested for tax fraud and to call back to make financial arrangements!

There is a widespread IRS (or CRA) or "tax scam" being  practiced by scammers on both USA and Canadian residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.
