This Indian guy swore up and down that not only that I have a computer and that it had been infected with some crapola viruses, and he also said that he was representing Microsoft, and knowing that they DO NOT CALL THE PUBLIC and yes this guy said they most certainly do call. When asked how he even knew if I had a computer, I then told him NO I DO NOT HAVE A COMPUTER when in reality I have 2 and they are both running ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT, so I hung up on the guy and 10 minutes later they called bac kand it was a an Indian woman telling me the same BS and then I just told her to Shove It where the sun doesn't shine and she asked me what that meant, at that time I hung up on her..............WTF?
Person claiming to jnow family member advised of computer virus and wanting callee to provide personal information. Maybe identity theft? When callee said she did nt have computer they hung up.
Indian gentleman tried to tell me my computer was full of viruses. As an IT professional I know that's not the case. Obvious scam, I told the gentleman so and hung up.
For anyone receiving this call or one like it, nobody is calling to tell you about your computer unless you have asked or paid them to. Microsoft do not make calls like this. Just hang up.
SCAM!!!!! Recorded message said something about a $6000 personal loan and to call 800.544.9719 to respond. That number is associated with unsecured1.com or DBEagle.com which promise loans but are really a credit monitoring service--as in NO LOAN-- that charges a monthly fee that they make impossible to cancel. Don't give them your credit card info because they'll use it!
