This is typical behavior of these psychopathic/sociopathic criminals. The males like to hassle women.
In the future, use a call blocker for numbers you don't want calls from, and if a call from a scammer sneaks past the blocker, hang up as soon as you realize it is a scammer. Do not talk to them at all, as that feeds their ego.
Technical service dept Microsoft scam. I screamed bloody murder as loudly as I could and hung up. Caller ID is GTEL. New number for this particular scam.
Caller with a thick accent said he was from "Windows Tech Service" and wanted to fix my computer's "errors".
He said that my IP sent him information. I asked for his name and he said "Allen". I then asked him if it was "Allen' or "Alan". He told me it could be either one. I told him I didn't have a computer, but he insisted that maybe I have a lap-top. "No", I said -------"I don't even have a lap---I have no legs". He said he was sorry and hung up.
Received a call from "Victor" (heavy Indian accent) who said he was from MicroSoft and that my computer was sending error messages and he would help me fix them. I said I was not interested and hung up. He called back from an "out of area" number and kept saying "NO, listen to me!" I told him this was not the way to go about this call and that I worked for a police department an knew this is how the scam thing worked and that I did not want to hear from him again. The phone has not rung again...
Received a call at 4:58 AM. Didn't recogize the caller. So it went to the answering machine. No message. GTel is a legitimate long distance company. Im going to call them and tell them there is someone using their caller ID calling at 4:58AM. Cant't hurt to have them working on this
