This is a call center, probably in India, they are calling people to get personal information by fraudulently informing them that they are being sued. I returned a call and he looked up the number I was calling from which was my work # and he couldn't find it, so I gave him my cell # and he asked if he was speaking with Laura, I said yes, so he informed me that I'm being sued and he asked me not to interrupt him while he read the charges against me, I asked if he was reading a script? like the same script he used for everyone he talked to? then he got defensive.
I work for an attorney and told the guy that, I advised him that I'm a paralegal and he asked me if I thought if was a fraudulent call and I said if it isn't then why don't you tell me who it is that's suing me? he wouldn't answer the question, instead asked me for my Bar #, I asked if he was kidding? like a paralegal would have a bar # right? I'm sure all paralegals in the United States had to pass the bar exam, lol.
Anyway, just wanted to put it out there, please don't believe these people and others out there that are making the same kind of calls telling people that they're being sued, if you're being sued you will be served with a summons, and nobody is going to call you ahead of time to inform you or to ask for any personal information.

They just called me. So I called the number back and they tried to say the were part of Jackson and Jackson Law firm. So I looked it up and found that it is a firm but doesn't practice the type of law the were claiming so I just hung up on them in mid sentence.
Just received a call from this number. I didn't answer it and they left a message. a woman with a heavy India accent "Call back and verify to this number" After reading all the posts, I believe they are a good candidate for the call blocker app.
