I received a strange blocked call today from someone who claimed she has been trying to reach my next door neighbor without success, but apparently managed to find people in our building to call. I played dumb about the name, but she said he lived in the apartment next to me, so I said yeah, I know a guy named Joe next door. She said her name is Karen, she is in San Diego, and said she "had to relocate because of the wildfires." She claimed my neighbor would know who she was. She gave me this number to call back, which I promptly ran on Google, which brought me here. Based on the comments, I am not going to bother my neighbor with this nonsense.
A recording says I have an important call and a computer then states/butchers the pronunciation of my name. It says to press "9" to speak with someone regarding an important matter. Then after holding the line goes dead. There is no option to remove your name from the calling list.
