This number called as Merchant Services wanting the person that handles credit card payments because there was going to be or already was a rate increase. Sounded fishy. Callback number was 855-270-9974 x7020 "Elaine".
Absolutely fishy. She called and represented herself as someone we already did business with and wanted to set up a meeting to review our account to see if we could save money. When I asked her to email the information she said that was not possible. She called back and I asked her to take us off her solicitation list she said she was not soliciting our business (lie) she just wanted to review our account because otherwise our rates go up twice a year (lie.)

I also received a call from this number. It did sound fishy but we use Merchant Services (the actual company) and I said that I am the person that handles the credit card processing (which I am). We have received something from our company dealing with credit card charges. They said they would be sending a representative around tomorrow from 12 to 3 to discuss what to do about charges. They are very convoluted and good about mixing words to make it sound like something real. Dang telemarketers trying to scam good businesses. Glad I researched this before I gave any important information. Going to turn them away tomorrow!
