I received two of the same calls on my cell phone: I answer and hear the recored message, "Congratulations! You're number has been selected to receive a free gift prize. Please dial 1 to hear more..."

I've hung up both times, but now I'm curious as to what the hell this is?!?

Anyone now what or who this is?

Any idea what it was?

Unsolicited call to cellphone in Canada (against the law in Canada--such calls cannot be placed to cellphones or any numbers on do-not-call list) from this number.  Recorded message beginning with "congratulations!", states that your phone number has been selected and to press "1" to collect prize.

Since this company is conducting illegal activities by phoning cellphone numbers without stating who they are, conducting commercial/promotional activity, to cellphones in another country they are very untrustworthy.  DO NOT SUPPLY PERSONAL INFORMATION - HANG UP IMMEDIATELY.

same as all of you.  did not know the number and was curious as to what they wanted. googled the number and was led to this.

Got a call (I'm in Canada) at 4:50 local time (Mountain GMT-7) on my cellphone.
