This was a call warning residents to say inside because of a nearby shooting. I called the sheriff's business number to double check if it was a fraud call and it turns out to be a real police call. They meant to call a different part of San Diego county though, so I'm safe. ^_^
It was the sheriff's office robo-dialing to warn people in a one mile vicinity about a shooting standoff on Grandview in the Mt Helix area. It was NOT a fraud call. We verified this by calling the non-emergency sheriff's number. It is still going on. The office said that they would call again when it was all clear.
