Just got same exact caller here. Same wording. It is BS. He has called last night, too, but never left message. Heard about scams by Russians on news the other night. Beware.
I got a call from this number stating it was the Department of Legal Affairs of the US Treasury. They said my husband had some sort of judgement but then directed me to call them back at the same number and ask for ext 313. They said they mailed us some stuff and had our address which was scary. I called the number back and they answer as the Dept above but you can hear a boiler room call center in background. I check on the internet showed it was a cell line in California and when I confronted the guy he got all flustered. Lots of stuff on the internet about this kind of fraud.
Guy called said he was from Treasury Dept., and there was a judgment against me, but he couldn't hardly speak English, I told him to stop scamming people and he started raving like a crazy person, I hung up the phone.
Exact same call details as mentioned in the previous posts from Sue, Zeb, and WA. Individual left a message and claimed his name was "Steve Robinson" from Dept of Legal Affairs, that there's a judgement against me, and that if I didn't call back it could get into a "legal mess." He closed out with "have a blessed day." Number traces to San Diego. Background noise sounded like a call center. Sounded like he was reading a script. Dialect sounds to be possibly eastern european. There have been at least 6 other reports on other sites similar profile but from other numbers
Just listened to the exact Same message from our "Eastern European" Steve Robinson from Thursday. He totally blew my name too. Was a little flustered until I read this thread.
