I prefer not to answer lest they believe it's an active number. I have also gotten back to back calls within seconds. As usual, they do not leave a message. My land line provider limits me to 20 blocked numbers - 200 would not be enough. I blocked a number but calls still kept coming from that same number - they spoof the called id.
6:50 p.m. no msg. THEN, w/in seconds, a call from previously blocked & reported 858-397-5346 showed up as I was cking CID for 858-836-2601. The 2 must be related spammers/scammers/solars...CID just "San Diego CA". Will block new #.
This number has called my phone 6 times since March 22. I actually answered it for the first time today and they hung up on me. They are now blocked. Signing up on the government's DO NOT CALL registry has done nothing to stop these calls. I have even registered complaints and nothing. Thank goodness our carriers let us block callers.
The DNCR is merely a list and cannot "stop" anything. Honest companies use it for Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR) compliance. Criminal types with autodialers make a choice to violate laws and commit fraud upon the public, hiding behind cheap VOIP and Caller ID spoofing
The FTC never promised to address individual complaints and it does not run a Bunko Squad to kick in the doors of violators. You were given a chance to understand all this when you registered.

ANYway, you and RJ present no evidence that this caller even qualifies for TSR coverage. RJ at best has a hunch. Someone who wins the predictive dialer roulette will have to hear what the caller has to say and report here.
I'm guessing but will bet that Nicole meant that "they" do nothing and not that she thought that they "stopped" the calls. Further, I did try to call back and got a "this number has been disconnected", so the obvious guess of both RJ and Nicole were right!
