A guy named Eddy called asking for our company's President and said he was with Wells Fargo equipment. When I was hesitant he just placed me on hold for a minute with some Wells Fargo recording that did not sound legit and I just hung up because he never picked up the line again.
Eddy called at my work place too and asked for the owner by his first name. I told him I could take a message, he said, "well did he go out on a business run or something?" I replied I can take a message he then said "no need to get defensive" in a smug and condescending tone. He said he was with Bank of Cardiff calling about the company's financing with Fifth Third Bank. The owner will never see the request for a call back!
