I received the same email from a post I have on CL as well.  Not responding to it.

I got the same msg on a CL ad. I responded from a burner email, and this is the response I got. Looks like a scam:

I will make arrangements for the pick up as soon as you have your check clear, due to my work frame ,  I will not be able to come with the cash and pick it up myself , so my wife will mail the check and have someone pick up the item after the check clear., Reference to your CL post  am completely satisfied with it  and the payment will  be deliver within 24hours.. My ID was stolen about a year ago. Those who know they don't owe anyone money might want to follow up along these lines. Even with LifeLock you've got to be diligent.

ID thieves and bill collectors buy and sell your information. Thieves want you to call them back in order to collect more information to sell to others if they can't con you. Don't ever give out or "confirm" ANY information over the telephone, including your name; it's the safest way to protect yourself. If you call them back, they have your number. If you identify yourself, they have your name, and so on. Do not push any buttons or leave messages. These are common tactics of thieves and bill collectors alike. Beware, these thieves ARE POSTING HERE (800notes) to confuse people.

You can help your entire community by doing what I did. I contacted our local TV station and told them about this website. Beware of any future posts asking Stacy for more advice, contradictions, and/or getting responses from "Stacy". Just another tactic that these people use.

I got a text from phone # 937-506-6962 for an item i have on cl also said he was  steve [email protected] stevw mccoy he said he would pay 50.00 more for item but could not come to get himself and would send out ck . Wanted my info to send a check
