This phone number has continually called my home numerous times daily. The caller ID shows as "Unknown Name". When I answer it, the theme music for the old TV show "National Geographic" plays and no person or recording ever says anything. I have reported this number to my state's attorney general under Missouri's "No Call List" law as a violation. Our attorney general (Jay Nixon) is natoriously ruthless in favor of consumer rights and going after telemarketers not complying with the "No Call List". A google search shows this area code number to be out of the Lexington, KY area.
This number belongs to PRI (also known as Premier - a debt collection agency according to the person who answered the phone)
As it turns out, they were calling for someone who has the same last name as mine. When I pressed further as to how they located me, I was told that they may may have found me due to proximity and same last name. I asked if they used the phone book, she said she couldn't help me further and had to get back to work and that she did remove my number.
I have had this telephone number for over 30 years, this sounds like a fishing expedition or a verification that I have this number.
It's all about them, isn't it? Nobody is here for us.
I have gotten calls from this number for the past few weeks. They call all day long, sometimes 4 or 5 times in a row. I have never answered because I don't answer numbers I am not familiar with. When I called the number back, they said "Thank You for calling PRI, my name is xxx how may I help you?" I hung up the phone.
I do not owe on any kind of medical bills, or and other bills for that matter. Does anyone know how I can get them to stop calling me?
