WE HAVE SEVERAL COMPLAINTS AGAINST YOUR NAME, DRIVERS LICENSE NUMBER AND SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. CALL M. CALLAHAN & ASSOCIATES AT 866-402-4043 WITHIN 24 HOURS. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN YOUR RIGHTS BEING PROHIBITED." A legitimate debt collector will send you notice in writing with the name of the original creditor, amount owed and a statement in accordance with the Fair Debt Collection Act stating your right to dispute the debt within 30 days. Any person who leaves a message threatening revocation of driver's license or threatening restriction or revocation of your social security number is violating the FDCA and other federal laws. Recently the federal government succesfully shut down several criminal gangs operating out of India and have charged their U.S. representatives with felonies in federal court.

Received message on 5/29/12 that stated: “ We have a complaint of malicious intent to defraud and two counts of alleged check fraud that has been filed against you. We will be making a recommendation to the clerk’s office for a stay of execution. To avoid these claims you need to call this office within the next 24 hours at 866-402-4043. When returning the call, you need to refer to affidavit # 17791.” From called ID # 859-559-0925. How funny -- she said a stay of execution when she meant a writ of execution.

It just gets better and better. Now I have a complaint I can make against them for attempted extortion, which I will file with the Kentucky Attorney General's office.
Received yet another message from Steven Crouse "At this point you have been manadated to return our call. We will not be held liable for any circumstances that may arise. Call back at 866-402-4043 from the hours of 8 AM to 8 PM." Vieled threat that I could be fired from my job or suffer some other harm. I have made complaints to the Attorney General's office, the Consumer Protection Bureau and the FBI against this crooked company.
