I was advertising a car on Craigslist.  I live in NH.  I got a text from this number.  Said his name was Powell.  His text said:  I cannot come look at and pay cash as I just moved.  I can pay the asking amount plus shipping fee with a cashier's check and my movers will come for pickup after check clears.  Kindly let me know the name you want on the check and the address to mail it to.
Never asked any questions about this 20 year old car, which has problems.  This was the first and only text.  I googled the number and it is Lexington KY.  Are you telling me he can't find a car in Kentucky and has to pay shipping for a 20 year old car in New Hampshire.  Come on!!!  This is the oldest scam in the book.  His check is no good, and even though they say then won't, they will pick up before it clears.  In the end, you have a check that is no good and bank fees for the bounced check.
DON'T FALL FOR THIS.  IF YOU GET A TEXT FROM THIS NUMBER REGARDING SHIPPING AN ITEM WITH NO QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ITEM, TEXT THEM  BACK THAT YOU KNOW IT'S A SCAM.
I texted back, Not interested in your scam.  I never heard from him again.
