Received VM on cell from Brian at 1:15pm stating that he was at the Town Hall today and came across information about my property, and wanted to know if I would be interested in selling my house. Never said which town hall, or where my property was. Message continued that if I knew of anyone selling their house, I could refer them to him, and he would pay me $2000. Scam Blocked
I live in a high rise so I immediately knew it was a scam. The guy left a voicemail claiming to be "Brian." Said he was randomly at City Hall and saw my address and wanted to buy my house. Once again, I have a condo that I rent. I laughed at the entire message and have been sharing it with my friends. They actually think this scam will work. "Brian" said he would give me 2500 as a referral fee. Didn't give a company name. Didn't have return number. Blocked the call. Reported it to the FBI and deleted the voicemail.
