Called me on a Saturday night. They  did not leave a message.  I do not know who this is

Last week I got a call from this number identifying themselves as from the State Police asking for donations (SCAM) Yesterday got another call from this number but this time they said they were calling from The American Veterans Assoc looking for donations When I questioned the caler he swore at me and hung up SCAM

This one is interesting.

An American Veterans Association search on "Google" gives several organizations claiming to have a piece of that name.

But Charity Navigator doesn't list an association with the exact name American Veterans Association.

So your instinct was right.  There are many places that list themselves as American veterans' associations, but if they don't like questions, then hang up.
