They asked for me by my first name. I did not recognize the number so I asked if I could take a message. They said it was from Aetna and left a number for me to call...which I did not write down because I have no idea why Aetna would be calling me, and they did not say Aetna US Health Care...just Aetna.
If your husband has an account with Aetna, they can legally call you.
The DNC list allows calls from companies with which one has a prior business relationship.
Have you spoken with them?
If you tell us more about the call, maybe we can determine if it was really from Aetna or from somebody spoofing the Aetna Caller ID.
Ok guys- to everyone who is being all weird and sketchy about this number. It's Aetna. They don't ever even say "Aetna U.S. Healthcare". It's definitely Aetna.. I have Aetna as my insurance provider. I faxed them a form last week and they couldn't read my sloppy handwriting and called to verify my address on the form. Nothing is weird or sketchy about this at all.
I received a letter from Aetna treasury services-unclaimed property-with this number on letterhead. My husband and myself each received a letter with an amount that funds are being held by Aetna & remain unclaimed-we are to send a copy of ID-drivers license-passport-state issued id-sounds strange to ask to send a copy of ID to claim $$$
I received the same letter. I am trying to figure out if it is real or not. I don't remember ever having an aetna account before so I'm not sure what it would be in regards to. It also states that I have 2 payments owing to me. ($387.30 and $12.70) It is weird to me that the two payments add up to a perfeclty rounded dollar amount.
They just called my cell phone. When I answered there was a real person who said oops, wrong number, apologized twice, then hung up. No attempt to identify himself, didn't ask for anyone, just said wrong number. I wonder how he knew it was a wrong number if he had no idea who I am... Caller id says Connecticut. Weird call.
