Call received at our home from 860-319-5719... no one would answer when we said hello. Tried to call back, but always busy. Even if it is for police officers, make sure that they can verify who they are... you can always donate directly to your own home town police division(s).
Person stated they were part of FEDERAL agency collecting CASH-ONLY donations for Police officers. Appears to be total scam but disturbingly they knew my name.
I've received several calls this past week from this number. They disconnect when I let the machine take the call and dead air when I pick it up. I have told a company calling for cash only donations not to call me because I only donate directly to the charities that I support.
