Yes, based on a previous call I received from a similar (not identical) spoofed caller ID number, I suspect this was indeed about electric rates. These people are relentless, but I have learned never to answer calls from numbers I do not recognize -- not even to allow answering machine or voice mail to answer. Do not give the violators of the Do Not Call registry any indication about whether mine is a valid working phone number or not.
Left a message about lowering my electric rates. Funny, they didn't say anything about jacking my rates back up after a few months so I end up paying more than I currently pay CL&P. See the CT State Attorney General's warning about this kind of pitch on their website and then you can decide for yourself if you want to do business with a company you never heard of that cold-calls you constantly.
