This number called my cell and actually left a voicemail. Caller ID showed New Britain, CT. It's an obvious scam based on how generic the message was - the caller doesn't mention any specifics about what town/neighborhood he is talking about plus I don't own property and my cell number isn't tied to any property.
The message sounded like a real person and he said this: "I was down in town hall and came across your property and I was just wondering if you had considered selling your property anytime in the near future...we're looking for something in the neighborhood and you came up so reaching out randomly just to people...if you know somebody in the neighborhood looking to sell if you can get me in contact with him and we can buy their property we can pay you a referral fee of $2,000...let me know if that might work for you...number is on the caller ID."
