This # has called several times over the last 2 days. Each time, no one responded. Just a few minutes ago, I answered and so did they. The girl spoke very quickly, did not give her name or company, said that I was being entered into some sort of sweepstakes to win $25,000, a trip, a car, and some other stuff, and that I would get info in the mail in mail in a few days. She said I was being called because I had signed up for some sort of promotional survey online, which I did not. She asked for information, such as my age group and when I graduated, if I was married, and my interests/hobbies, and if I wanted to receive calls re: continuing education. I said no, and once I said I did not want to receive these phone calls, she hung up. I tried to call the # back and got a recording that said "The # or code you have dialed is incorrect. Please check the # or code and try again. Message 7." What a scam! And it couldn't be more frustrating! Right after, I called the National Do-not-call Registry at 888-382-1222 and registered my # again. Hopefully that helps and stops these calls.
Just received a call from this number and said that I entered a drawing online for a gift card and I told him I was not interested and he started arguing with me and being extremely rude. When I told him I was not interested he continued to tell me that I was the one that started by signing up for the gift card and he said very rudely that he will call me anytime he damn pleases. if you try to call back the number or code is incorrect.
I usually don't answer long distance calls that I don't recognize but since I've been getting about 5-6 in the last week I answered. I asked where he got my number from as it was a cell number. I understood him to say "Stalkers" in New York, which he said stalks numbers and sells them. He then started asking me which credit card I liked the best. I told him that I'm not answering any questions and to take me off his list! As stated by someone else, this is very frustrating!!!
