How do these scammers get a hold of unlisted landline phone numbers ?

Well let's see.  Since you don't actually need a number to call any phone, they simply put your area code and exchange in a computer and dial every 4 digit combination possible.  Auto dialers, war dialers, whatever you want to call them.  Look it up and learn.

Scammers, block them

They left no message, and I never answer calls from unfamiliar numbers.
They called on the 4th of July. NO legit agency would call on a major holiday.
