We have been receiving a few of these phone calls saying they are from Wells Fargo and that there has been a block on our debit card. If we would like to reactivate enter our 16 digit card #. I have called Wells Fargo twice about this but they will do nothing! They are as much of a scam as this call.
Who would or could do anything about this?
I called back this # and it is an automated system it was hard to understand but it sounded like Anghanger Connecticut making room at the round table?
These people called my wife and called me about 4 days later saying our debit card account was frozen or locked I can't remember. We both just hungup on them. I am wondering if Wells Fargo had sime breach of security. When I called the bank they just told me that they had heard someone was calling people, but it wasn't from the bank. 860-560-2100 was the number that was used.
Same thing. My husband and I BOTH received this call at the same time!! Very strange. Mine was automated female voice from Wells Fargo regretting me that there was a problem with my debit/credit card..?
Received one call with no one there. I don't do business w/ Wells Fargo, and I'm nowhere near Connecticut (End Hunger Connecticut is the rightful owner of this number). I guess it's just a random phishing attempt with a spoofed caller id.
