SCAM. Microsoft does not make such calls. He is also persistent and when you ask for his company name he just continues with his line of computer viruses. Try calling the number back and get a message that the "number you is incorrect."
I see this is a Microsoft scam? I didn't let him talk--as above the caller appear on ID as Anthony Vassell. First he asked for someone by name of whom I've never heard. Then he stumbled a bit and then used my last name. I hung up before he got any further--clearly a spam caller. Hit the red button of death on my caller block box and unless he changes his number (again, as I think I've already heard from this voice before in a number I previously blocked), won't be bothered by this alleged scammer again.
I received a call today from this number and the caller ID said Anthony Vassell. I received the same kind of phone call from a woman two days ago. They both claimed they were calling about a problem with my computer involving Microsoft Windows. Which I do not have. This number has called my home at least 20 times. How do you report them to authorities???
