Second time today they called. Obviously a telemarketer. asked to speak to husband. I spoke to him in another language saying he was not here. LOL. You can even make up a language if you answer one of these calls by mistake. They don't know what to do, and you can make a mental note to never pick up again when you see that number. so tired of these people who call even when you are on the Do Not Call register. No one is ever prosecuted.
Pretty sure this is Midas Muffler as I answered it last time and it was them. It is a legitimate follow up after you get service but I have asked them not to call anymore at least 3 times and the calls keep coming after every oil change.
A woman, well-spoken, asking for a specific other woman (gave
the sought party's first and last names, twice, I think, during
the course of the call).
I said nobody by that name here, and what number did you call?
This woman said she did not have that information.
Well, that's a new one on me. Didn't even know what number
she was calling.
Gobbles America.
There was no sudden hang-up; the caller ended the call politely,
but quickly. There did not seem to be any machine-assistance,
other than the dialer -- there was no delay between answering,
and hearing the calling party state their case (I can usually spot
a robo-call by the long delay between me answering and them
picking up -- real people don't do that).
I'm going with Debt Collector, though I have no firm evidence
that this was the purpose of the call.
