Two weeks ago I received a call from Premier. I honestly don't know what they want. Claimed that "I" gave them my number to give them a reference on "me." But it seemed as if they didn't know I was me. I confronted them and then they mentioned something collection related but non specific. I told them to mail a copy of the signed legal documents (promissory papers or credit agreements) to the address they had on file. Well, I haven't received anything yet. I said this because I had a similiar situation happen a year ago with my son a student of age. He had been making payments as agreed and was down to the last 25.00. Someone inadvertantly turned him over to a collection agency. The person pretended to be a lawyer and had almost gotten him to agree to pay 450.00. He just happened to get my email update with a pdf attachment of his recent bill and amount from the company. I forwarded copies of everything to that company with the final payments and the calls stop. However had he paid that amount the difference would have been the commission gain of the agency just because he didn't do his homework. I set up an autobilll pay on his checking account and he just knew to always deduct that amount from his budget each month with plans to later check the payment date. Sorry for the book but you have to be diligent about your business which is what I am trying to teach him that even if you pay as agreed stuff can go wrong.
