Tel No. appeared on my recent Telus bill as a $44.20 charge for 9 min. from Triton Global. Someone at Triton claimed it was a sex chatline. It was a scam as the time the call was made was actually our lunchtime at home. Would I excuse myself from my wife and engage in a raunchy chat approx. 3 ft away at the phone? I absolutely refused to be ripped off by this scam artist, and have instructed Telus to remove the charge from my bill.
If you dial this number, you get a chat line. It is Triton Global Calls, and they charge a minimum of $39,40 even more 1 minute. They can be reached at 1-866-340-4990. Also do NOT call 647-427-7863 this is also a chat line.
One collect call also appeared on my TELUS from Triton Global bill for $44.20 for 1 minute! Scam!
Not only that they also tried to charge me a total of almost $200.00 for 4 other phone calls I never made!!! I'm thinking of changing my number!!!
Put your dispute in writing, send it certified or return receipt to their mailing address which should be on either their web site, or on your bill for filing complaints. Also file (and tell them your filing complaints in your letter) with the FTC, FCC and CFB. And do so..
** As many complaints as there are on this kind of thing going on, they have no excuse MO for not being more then well aware of it and the scam taking place.. Take pics of your caller ID if need be and enclose it along with the letter to them.
