These are folks who want you to think they are here to help with your mortgage refinancing.
Caller ID ONLY says Manchester CT.
As usual - you are asked to "press 1" to speak with an agent . . . .
There is also an option to "press 3" to be removed from their marketing efforts.
I chose to "press 1" so that I could determine the name of the company that was calling me.
That seems like a real simple and courteous thing dont you think ?
So I asked the person that answered the phone what her name was - and she said "Mia".
I asked her the name of the company and she said "This is the intake department."
I said "THat's the name of the area you work in - I want to know the name of the company you work for."
and she said, again "This is the intake department." - - - I said "I just want to know the name of the company that is calling me, why is this such a difficult question ?" at which point she said "THank you, have a nice day." - - - and HUNG UP ! ! ! ! !
Now - why do you suppose ANYONE in business would be calling and would N O T want to tell you who they were ??????????
Now these guys have changed again - - the ANI digits they're handing over are 406-623-3003 and the Caller ID now says Hardin MT - - nothing else.
The voice of the gal doing the recording is different - - - - UNTIL you press "3" to speak to the agent (who - again is NEVER accessible) - - - - but, the voice that tells you "All agents are busy" is the same as the ORIGINAL recording . . .

These are the mortgage refi idiots that keep calling and pass bogus and various caller ID's and calling numbers. none of which are legit. . . . so, whatever phone number you SEE - has nothing to do with where they are really calling from. . . .

If you want to fight back and have the time - here's the only strategy I've come up with -
Press the menu option to "speak with an agent" - - - - In all the times I've done this, I only got thru to someone once (probably by accident) - - - if you get the voicemail - - leave a recording, which then has to be screened by someone . .. the more recordings we leave - the more ineffective this process becomes. . . .
IF YOU DO get thru to someone - - - act real interested - DONT GIVE ANY INFO - - - but, placate them and at some point, try to get details of who they are. . . . and post it HERE so we can all start to return the favor !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a cell phone with only 250 minutes a month and this number calls me 4 to 5 times a week.
I do not have a mortage on my home and I do not know why these people are eating up my minutes on my cell phone...I am 70 yrs old and I can not afford to put minutes on my phone it is for emergery calls only..How do I stop these people from call my cell?
