This [***] sent me a fraudulent text message at MIDNIGHT and woke me up. It was unusual to get a message that late and woke concerned about who could be trying to reach me so late and wondering what crisis was afoot - all for nothing! They lie about you having won a $1000 gift card from Best Buy. I mailed Best Buy and their immediate response was as follows:
"Thanks for contacting Best Buy! Unfortunately, you have been receiving text messages from a fraudulent company alleging to be Best Buy. Please be advised that all Best Buy text messages come from short codes 332211 and 22891. Messages from any other short codes are not from Best Buy. With that said, we do not recommend that you share any of your personal information with the senders of these messages.
If you find that those numbers you are receiving messages from are not from Best Buy, you can try other remedies like blocking them from your phone through your service provider or even contacting the sender directly to ask to be removed."
