This person claims to be an 'attorney', and DEMANDS you call back within 24 hours.... She talks about being in a 'criminal division', and mentions several names! I have no idea who this person is. I've done NOTHING wrong, and I do not appreciate being accused of something I didn't do.
My family called asking if i knew about this number someone called saying they were investigating me. When I called back it's a voice mail saying Abigail Lancaster criminal investigation of Barrington. I have no idea who that is and how they got two family members number
They did the same thing with me. They kept on calling my family member and saying that they are looking for me. Something about fraud checks that I wrote or something from best buy. I was surprise to hear this I have no idea about it.
This Abigail Lancaster claims to be an investigator with the Barrington Investigations based out of Hartford Connecticut. She called my family from another number (860) 920-5403. She claims she is not a collection agency, but an investigation unit "looking" for people. She kept saying that there was a bad check written at a Best Buy. I told her that this is all incorrect, and a fraudulent assertion--no idea what she is talking about. She kept asking for an address so she could mail documents to me. I told her that we would file a police report and an Affifdavit concerning this matter, and she gave me her fax at (202) 552-0087. I googled this number, and it is a number based in Washington DC at some supposed company called Denson Giles Mediation Services. Also, when she called me, the name on the caller ID was "Quanda Brand" BE CAREFUL--do not give her any personal information.
My mother received a phone call from this person Abigale Lancaster,asking about information regarding me and if I don't contact her office within 24hrs a warrant will be issued for my arrest. This is "supposed" to be over a "fraudulent check" written over 6 yrs over to Pepboys. This is BS..first, if its a fraudulent check, the FBI, or lower judicial department will handle the matter...not an investigation service located outside of the city you live. I traced the information and found, this call originated from Connecticut, with more searching this lead me to another office located in Ohio. If the Police needs to find you all they have to do is look into the national database...not call your family. If you receive a call from this person/Business beware and don't give any information, for you may compromise yourself in the future. I have a friend that is a Police Officer, she said, if the police want to find you, its easy..its not like tv. Punch your name into the police database.
After the 24 hrs expired, I had a friend call back to get more information and instead of receiving a"warrant for my arrest" the lady supposedly talked to a Prosecutor and let the matter go for another 24hrs.."BS" Be careful as to who gets your information!
