Ticked OFF
This number called my mother's phone and told her that they were trying to get in touch with me to deliver a package because I owed a debt! Uh NO I am debt FREE and don't owe anyone anything! They left a number 877-327-9337 to call and reference number. I called and the idiot tried telling me I owe US Cellular over $800! I said NO I don't and told him I've never been a US Cellular customer. There were lots of other things said and I called US Cellular and let them know about this shady company. I also filed a complaint with the BBB. He was threatening me saying they have a judgment against me. No idiot you don't because you have to take me to court in my county and you haven't done that. They are committing FRAUD!!!

Nothing like reporting them to the BBB, a toothless organization with no law enforcement powers that exists solely to charge business owners money for good ratings.  Below is the proper place to report them.

They call family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money.

This is a common ploy by criminals masquerading as debt collectors who are attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this,  all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.  One of the tricks they use is to call your work place, friends, or relatives repeatedly in an attempt to shame you into paying.  They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number
