Another B.S. cold/call "text" message sent to my verizon account to try and trick people into "replying" to what they think is a local number:

Shows on the caller id, but that is a "permanent overlay" on that account and then if you reply they will try to charge you something like $99 for some [***] "service" you signed up for.
