Called and asked if I had a son or daughter that could have been involved in a car accident with an suv. asked for my daughter's name. Said my number was in someones phone

Called and said the same thing as the above comment

yup - got the same call.  said they were in "downtown" Poughkeepsie NY.  I asked for an address and he said he had to call his brother

This number is calling people telling them their relatives have been in car accidents, trying to get you to send them money

I just googled this number to see if I could find anything on this. I got a call from them a week ago and thought it was really weird and then I got the same call from the same idiot doing his same rehearsed speech and knew right then that it was some bogus scam, I hung up on him but was kinda freaked out and wondering why he could be calling me with some bogus car accident story. Who is this guy and how do I get him to stop calling me?
