If your phone company doesn't offer the feature to block numbers you can buy the Digitone Call Blocker. I have had mine about 6 months. You can block 80 numbers, complete area codes and those "phony" numbers. Its well worth it.
I received a call on my cell phone from this number ... I couldn't answer it at the time so I called the number back when I was able to. Right off the bat, there is a recording saying, "If you want to be placed on the Do Not Call list for the number that called you, please press 1." I did nothing since I wanted to physically talk to someone to find out the purpose they were calling me. The recording came back on again ... so I probably did something I shouldn't have done and pressed 1. The recording then said that it would take 48 business hours to be placed on the list. Who really says that??? 48 business hours???? Com'on!! I'll probably be getting calls morning, noon and night since I pressed 1 ... maybe I shouldn't have done that ... I probably shoulda just hung up!!
How did you "block" them? Was it a special feature with your service? I get these bogus calls all the time. Very annoying. And I did register my cell with the Gov Do Not Call List
