Saying they were the IRS , that I need to call them back , when I did call back that I need to verify my social security number and date of birth, I didn't say nothing I just hang up, I thought if they were the IRS why would I need to verify something that they needed when their the one that called me. So I think is a scam, just wanted to let everyone know.
recording saying IRS has an arrest warrant out for me. I called back, blocking my number. Guy answered asking if I was XXX and a former married name. Told me i was going to be arrested in 30 minutes by local law enforcement for tax evasion - asked if it was accident or intentional. Was definitely a foreign guy. I kept him talking. Told me I owed 9700 in back taxes for the last 5 years on my 1040A, Schedule H and 941C. I never filed the last 2 forms. He was making that crap up up. I owe no money and have gotten a refund the last 5 years. When I asked how law enforcement knew where I was located, he hung up.
