Got two calls from 862-902-5428 on cell phone, probably from Pioneer Credit Recovery (Based in upstate NY) trying to collect student loans I was not able to pay on minimum wage(who can?). Did not leave message, do not call back or they will have flushed you out. Warn neighbors, co-workers and family not to give out ANY info to anyone, esp. those claiming to be a "friend" job reference, or whatever. They will try to attach your pay. Fight tooth and nail to avoid this. They WILL LIE to your friends and family to find you, their only penalty is a couple of thousand dollars fine, at best, but they get to collect thousands from you. They got info about me from a neighbor's UNDERAGE daughter. Be careful! Collection agencies are like Bounty Hunters, out-laws and out-of-control!!!
These jerks call me several times a day regarding a loan they made to my foster brother. They are harassing my elderly father too. They won't hang up and say "I'll hang up if you give me a number to call him." 1-862-902-5428. Shameful Rude and in violation of state law!
Have received several call from them over the past few days. Left no messages. They have also called from 862-902-5429. The numbers are similar enough I assume they are the same company. Also, I don't know anyone from Northern New Jersey.
I too get one to four calls on my cell phone from these people every weekday. No message so I have no idea why they're calling. Even if they are a collection agency, doesn't Federal Law require them to leave a message if they're calling someone outside of their state? I know that California state law does. If they were professional, I imagine that they would ask me to call them regarding a debt and leave it at that. Instead, just calls from this unknown number with no message. It's cowardly.
I have one calling friends and family saying they are calling as they were given as a job reference and then never ask any questions about the job they just want my address and phone number from the friend.
