"Hi. This message is intended to contact you. My name is Steve Martin and I'm calling regarding an enforcement action executed by US Treasury intending your serious attention. Ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to avoid initial appearance with a magistrate judge or a grand jury for a federal criminal offense. My number is 862-955-5741. I repeat 862-955-5741. I want you to cooperate with us and help us to help you. Thank you."

yes, Steve Martin left a message ha unbelievable I took this call seriously. When i call back A man answered saying his name was Richard Harris. When I stated I owed money he said oh you owe money and the line dropped. When I called back I said We were just talking. He said oh we were just talking let me disconnect the line. End. I called in a different voice he said that Steve Martin was in his office and wanted a name. End.
got call from Willie Howard on our home phone but did not answer and no longer use answering machine. Here they go again.

The first time I got one of these probably foreign calls, I waited over 50 minutes to speak to someone in the IRS. they NEVER ask for money over the phone - they will only contact you via usps. She reminded me how important it is to ASK FOR THEIR BADGE OR ID NUMBER.
