They call stating to lower your credit card rate but no one gets on the phone. Try to call it back and it rings busy. Fishy to me. Hope they don't call back now.
I received a call from this number, on my cell phone. First phone call I have received like this....ever...which makes me worried about identity theft. The automated female voice was breaking up through out the call.
I just had a call from someone from this number. Since it seems that my phone number is "out there" with so many of these scam artists, I never answer my phone if I do not know who it is. I have a home business, too, which is sad, because sometimes it is a business call that I miss because of my fear of answering my own phone! Anyway, this call, plus another one that I received yesterday did not show up online on my app from xfinity even though it is a call that shows up on my phone caller ID as a missed call. This has never happened before unless I just never noticed. Does this mean it is a spoofed call, I wonder? I have been able, since getting VOIP with xfinity, to monitor my home phone calls even when away from home by using this app from xfinity. Anyway, the Caller ID says the call is from Felix Steven which is also interesting because in my business, I receive calls from individuals so it is possible this name could be confused by me as a business call coming through. Am I just getting paranoid now by thinking these scammers are trying to get me to think it is a call I should answer? These calls started about seven months ago for me, to my home phone and to my cell phone, and it is hard not to be paranoid. I just do not answer any calls, on either phone, anymore unless I absolutely know who is calling me. It is absolutely pathetic that I have to be so afraid of these people who are trying to scare me, intimidate me, or scam me and steal from me. It is like they have waged war upon me and I have calls from them all day long on both my land line and my cell phone. What is most annoying is that I have no recourse. I have called law enforcement, my lawyer, and I have reported this to the Attorney General and to the FBI on their online reporting site. It appears that this is happening from another country and there is really nothing anyone can do to make it stop. I have call blockers on both phones and they always seem to change their numbers so I am adding new numbers almost daily. Right now, all I can do is report here every time a new number shows up so that I can warn others to not not fall for these scams. I do not owe anyone money, I have never applied for a pay day loan, I do not want a pay day loan for $1000, I do not want a new mortgage because my house is paid off, I really just want these calls to stop. But, it appears that I will need to get all new phone numbers because there are so many idiots out there who think they can call me and intimidate me and scare me and make me think they are going to show up to my house and arrest me for not paying some pay day loan that I never asked for nor received. These people share your number with others who try to scam you so do not answer the phone. They try all these phone numbers to see if someone answers and that is why they do not speak when you answer. Then, soon, others will begin to call you and start scamming you and scaring you. They are mean and try it intimidate you, especially if you are older and are female. Do not fall for it. If I believed all they have threatened, I would have been in jail numerous times these last seven months. I know this is a rambling type of response but this has been what is happening to me lately with these scammers. All I can say is please do not give them any information about yourself and do not answer unless you know who is calling because once they determine you are a real person associated with your phone number, they will hound you relentlessly and try to scam you for all they can get you to pay them.
