Same here name is now Donald and wants paypal information and says when it clears he will then have it picked up does not sound legit and now that I found the above info I am staying away thanks everyone for posting it realy did help me out
Scammer responding to my ads selling a large gooseneck flatbed trailer. He his my ads and started texting me within minutes of me placing the ad. Goes by the name Robert and say's he's an engineer out at sea, can't make phone calls but can text.
Just happen to me too. Told him cash only he never got back to me. Also he texts you from a prepaid cell phone. When ever you are selling or buying a car, make sure to speak over the phone first not just text. Meet in person in a public place (not your home) like where you transfer car titles, bring a friend, work with cash or bank transfer from a well known bank and speak to the bank yourself before transfer. Also tell them they need ID and proof of Insurance in the first phone call.
