A guy with a thick foreign accent left a msg on my machine, telling me that 'I am in a legal' mess, that he was from 'dispute resolution center, dept. of law and investigations' that I commited a fraud and that I had to call him and If I didn't ' wish me good luck as the situation unfolds upon me' Don't respond to those scamsters, unless to inform them that you have contacted the authorities about their extortion racket.
They called and left a message on my vmail asking if I knew a old co-worker saying they were a legal office. When I finnaly got thru to a real person they asked if I knew the person and said no one will contact you and hung up!
Just received a message from a Jenny telling me that she is from the Dept of Law and Investigation (ha ha). I should call (or my legal rep) ASAP and do not wait or bad things will happen to me. She goes on to say do not ignore this call but if I do, she can only wish me good luck.
Very thick Indian accent. Third time in an hour that she called. The first two I think that she forgot to leave the phone number and her "quality control" department (yeah, the other guy there) reminded her.
I have gotten these types of messages over the past couple of years. If you call them (which I plan to do) they will be downright rude to you. They give you no details but do have your personal info. I suspect they get the info from applications submitted to get a payday loan. Do not entertain them!
They are criminals. DO NOT RESPOND TO THEM! They called my son and said an old roommate put him down for a reference on a loan. The person defaulted on the loan. They told my son because he is listed as a reference he was obligated to pay the loan. This is I am assuming some sort of Hi pressure BS collection agency or something. When you call they will not tell you the name of the company.
