This call was blocked by my cell phone blocking application
Obviously this is a new spoofed number from the same old scammers group -
It used to be that you would come to this site to find numbers with several pages dating back years - these thieves never quit calling no matter what you do. It's best to never answer calls from those you do not know the number or the name showing - let them leave a message
although my phone has a blocking application that will automatically block individual known and suspicious spam/scam numbers - folk should consider blocking entire area codes from calls like this one when you don't know anyone from this code. It is beginning to make a difference as these shysters usually have several numbers in each area code they use. (always a spoofed number) Once they're blocked the call will not even be allowed through to ring from any number from that area code.
As a friend said: "If I were the king, I would have their heads for their relentless pursuit of that which does not belong to them and their preying on our seniors and other fellow citizens unwary of their despicable behavior This could end, but the politicians don't serve the people. These criminals should be in jail. To give you an idea why I despise them so much: Once they determine you are blocking entire area codes they will call from different area codes without duplicating once until those run out - they will call from numbers within not only your own area code but within your own exchange, complete with names attached to them to appear legitimate on caller ID. All spoofed dead end disconnected numbers. And then there is the constant mix of repeated long distance calls (also spoofed) such as this one. Our next step is to block all calls except those numbers we put in a white list. Hopefully that will put an end to it once and for all."
Didn't show up as likely spam so I answered it. Familiar recorded message similar to: Hi! This is Jennifer from Google. We've been trying to get in touch with the business owner....
My phone is on "do not disturb". Received call from 864 area code. I was expecting a call from there so I pressed "return". A message that number was disconnected. I receive so many "spoofed" calls with even local area code that someone needs to leave a voicemail if they want to talk with me.
