I called the number back and got a recording that was weirs. It is a man saying that this call is a scam and to call the police. When they call it is a recording saying it is a credit card Company. Then when I called I got that weird recording. I did report it three times to the DNC list.
I got my "Rachael" call from these goobers. Another scam boiler room operation looking to screw people by charging them $1,000 - $1,500 for NOTHING.
Just the same old up front fee scammers with a new number and an old Robo-Call recording.
Oh, and Mr. Pissedoff....the number is SPOOFED - they aren't calling from South Carolina. It's an internet VoIP phone number. They could be in Pakistan. The FCC needs to get their S#!T straight and firm up some rules to make it harder for these morons to fake their own Caller ID info. The technology is here to prevent spoofing and faking of numbers - they just need to enforce it with these service providers to close up all of the data loopholes so that the PHONE providers and the VoIP providers are the only ones allowed to "create" Caller ID info, and to forceably "correct" or even block faked, missing or otherwise erronious data so that the TRUE ID shows up - OR - the call does NOT get through. THAT'S what NEEDS to happen.
Recorded message about 'this is your final notice about reducing your interest rate' - then you press 1 to find out more, I simply asked to be put on their do not call list - this was answered by them hanging up very quickly.
Well just received my weekly call from the unwanted credit card debt company.
Tried answering the call as to stop them from calling and their Representative just hangs up when I tell them to take me off their list because I do not have a credit card.
I know something can be done about this..
I bet if every congress member got this daily or weekly call, you would see a law passed quickly.
Answered pressed 1 asked to be taken off and hung up. A few days ago had a lady call from a different number same concept, she got rude said she wasn't removing my number, I called the FCC who took a report and then the FEDERAL TRADE COMISSION and they took a report also. They both said scams going around of this nature, and anyone who gets these calls should report them to help with their investigation. If you go to the do not call registery the phone number is on there for you to call to report a conplaint.
I get these calls all the time. 2 calls today from 864-213-7092. I have tried every option and nothing works. They just hang up when you try to take your phone number off their list.
