I received a call from someone named Katie requesting to speak to the owner of the company. They incorrectly provided me with the name of who they thought is the owner. Katie became irrate with me quickly when I told her that I could only take her info and pass it on to the powers that be.
Some lady just called me, I answered my biz line, which is my personal cell. She immediately heard my toddler jabbering next to me and asked me if this was a biz or residence. I told her we are a home based business. She said she was "calling on behalf of the GSA to offer a contract for the federal government, but that doesn't sound like it would be beneficial to your company. Good bye" and she hung up.
After reading that it's a scam, I'm not so mad at my toddler anymore for potentially causing us to lose out on thousands of dollars.
I too received a call from Katie. She would not tell me the name of the company, what they were calling about, saying that they can only speak to owner (no name). She was rude, even when I told her I am trying to understand what she needs to assist her. Katie said she cannot tell me what she is calling about. I could not get her to say she was calling from GSA or if this was about obtaining GSA Schedules. Having worked with GSA before, this is not how they operate.
Not what I believe a legitimate business would be saying.
got a call from 864-214-7786...he even had enough guts to leave a message that I could get contracts with the federal government. He needs a real job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
