They began calling every day for the past week. I ignored the calls but finally decided answer and see who it was on the fourth day. After having to ask multiple times the agent finally said he was with some Solar Energy company, and that he was returning a call to my uncle who had "requested more information on pricing". I told the agent politely that my uncle had made a mistake, that our household was not interested in solar energy, and that they need no longer call. The agent just kept saying "okay we'll just call back at another time so we can talk to -my uncle-" I reminded him again that they do not need to call back again because they will not be talking to him because we were not interested. He ended the call with just saying "we'll call back another time" and hung up.
The next day at almost the exact same time, sure enough, they called again. I received a different agent in this time and again I had to ask multiple times before they would actually say the name of their company. This time a little more agitated but still politely I informed him that our household was not interested in getting solar energy at the moment, and that the request for information had been done by mistake and that they needed to stop calling. He began getting defensive and attacked me with questions like "how could solar energy be a mistake? How could saving 75% on your energy bill be a mistake? Mr. -my uncle- is the one who made the request so can I speak to him? The quote is good for a year why don't you want it?" I informed him that firstly it was not a subject that was up for discussion, that it was none of his business why or why not my family may or may not want to make a decision on solar energy at the moment, and that Mr. -my uncle- must have mistakingly made a request without consulting the rest of the family, and that they would not be talking to him because it was not a subject for discussion. Do not call again. At this point it had become a shouting match between the agent and I as he insistently said that they were just returning a call for requested information and they wanted to talk to the person who requested it, I kept consistently saying that the request was in accident, they would not be talking to the person who requested it, and stop calling. No one was interested in solar energy and to leave us alone. He wouldn't take no for an answer and just consistently shouted at me. I kept explaining that I understood he was just doing his job but as I explained to the agent I spoke to the day before and him that it was a mistake and they don't need to call. Your job is done you contacted us we said no. STOP CALLING. Finally and with a lot of attitude he ended the conversation with basically saying well I'm right and you're wrong for not wanting solar, but you have a nice day he said very angrily before hanging up. If it wasn't for the fact that both agents mumbled the name of the company I would personally seek them out and leave the complaint with them personally, but I have quite a feeling that come tomorrow at 4 o'clock I'm going to be hearing from them again.
