Got a call (on voice mail) saying they had a preliminary report filed with my 36 year old son's name and SS# and would like to speak with him regarding mediation. I will not be passing this message on...we live in different states, and how did they get my cell phone number???? I'm guessing it was a debt collection call/scam.
Called said he was from a debt collection agency calling for THE GAP/ OLD NAVY/BANANA REPBULIC
said he was trying to collect from a credit card we closed in 2003 , when I told him he was crazy he then did a search and called everyone with my last name to harasse them , I know because they called me.

Also you must never admit to owing the debt because this will reset the statute clock.

Calling my mother saying something about a report filed with my name and ss# but will not say what the ss# is. They have my mother worried. I'm going to call this person tomorrow and see what they say. I have a feeling they will ask for my ss#, witch of course, I will not give them. Will report result, maybe Ill record the call.
