Recieved texts from this person claiming to be a 19 year old girl, who sent nudes and asked the same, which i did stupidly, and then recieved a call from her father claiming that he would report me to police if i didnt help pay for his daughters therapist,
Yes it is an extortion scam being run on or by that site. There are numerous number threads here with the same story. Make a police report to your local PD. If the calls come from South Carolina, which seems to be popular with these extortionists, make a report there as well.
Match.com, Said was 20.....then 16, pics were sent to me and then back to her(Why i'm stupid). "Dad" called next day at police station. May daughter tried to commit suicide pay half of hospital bill not to press charges. Half or $2300.......
8642662428 called me claiming to be a detective of the north charleston police. He left a vm cause I don't answer numbers I don't know. Saying that the "father" wanted to talk to me or they'll press charges. I stopped to look up this number on google and came across this and permanently block this number. If this number calls you ignore it.....it's a scam/ extortion. Also 843-847-8816 is a scam/extortion number.
There was the number saying you need to check-in with him and his wife. (Him claiming to be a Mr. Hampton)

And 864-434-9113 (Caller ID registered as a Robert Cobbs)
So Robert Cobbs is the scammer.
He also changes the 434 9113 number caller ID to say Law to try to scare you.
